Oaks Toowoomba Hotel to Celebrate Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers with Floral Themed Festivities

With Toowoomba’s annual Carnival of Flowers festival approaching, Oaks Toowoomba Hotel’s Oak & Vine restaurant plans to join the celebrations by hosting a Grand Central Floral Garden Parade Party and a floral themed High Tea.

The Carnival of Flowers festival, running annually from 1-30 September, sees the city of Toowoomba come together for floral-themed events, music, tours, and food and wine experiences, honouring Toowoomba as the “Garden City”. The Oaks Toowoomba Hotel, which launched in Queensland’s largest inland city last year, will host a themed dining experience in celebration of the event.

Oaks Toowoomba Hotel’s Grand Central Floral Garden Parade Party will be held on 18 September and offer a VIP viewing experience of the parade from the balcony at Oaks Toowoomba Hotel.

Tickets are $75 per person and include:

The Floral High Tea at Oaks Toowoomba Hotel’s on site restaurant, Oak & Vine, will incorporate elements of the Garden City’s florals to create a unique and delectable tea party menu. Food, beverage, and dessert items will be crafted to appear like flowers, while featuring innovative edible floral elements. The floral-themed high tea menu will be on offer every day from 10-19 September from 6.30am – 2pm, at a price of $49*. To book a table, call 07 3053 8890.

Sweets will feature mouth-watering floral elements: petite scones paired with blueberry jam, organic lavender, and botanical gold edible flower sprinkle; a white chocolate mousse with french vanilla rose cake pop; freeze-dried flowers chocolate and viola petal truffle, and petite pavlova and pansies with marshmallow sunshine daisy.

Savoury bites include stuffed pumpkin flowers with ricotta and sweet corn; marigold and salmon rosette with goats cheese; rare fillet beef, beetroot, radish, and rose petal on crostini; and much more to discover. Sparkling beverages and teas will be on offer, featuring notes of hibiscus, elderflower, rose, and lavender.

The Oak & Vine restaurant is Oaks Toowoomba Hotel’s on-site dining experience, offering a modern Australian menu. The hotel, built by leading accommodation provider Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites, is a 102-suite, five-storey development located on Kwong Sang Walk. Comprising spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom hotel rooms and suites, each accommodation type offers a private balcony and modern furnishings.
