Leading accommodation provider Oaks Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Central Queensland (CQ) Mariners Football Club for its 2017 season.
As part of the one-year deal, Oaks Hotels & Resorts will provide ongoing support to the Gladstone-based club, which will see the hotelier make generous financial contributions, offer discounted accommodation rates for players and supporters, and facilitate club events, functions and team-building workshops at its local property Oaks Grand Gladstone.
Mr Matt Rauchle, Venue Manager of Oaks Hotels & Resorts’ The Grand Hotel, Gladstone, commented, “We are thrilled to partner with the CQ Mariners Football Club for the 2017 season and, in doing so, look forward to becoming more involved with the local Gladstone community, which we are proud to be a part of.
“This partnership will not only allow us to support young, local talent in the region, but also be a part of Australia’s biggest club-based participation sport.”
CQ Mariners Football Club is a key sporting organisation in the Central Queensland region that is endorsed by Football Queensland to encourage the passions of, as well as develop the skills of, talented local football players.
Jo Mossop, President of the CQ Mariners, said, “We are delighted to roll out our new partnership with Oaks Hotels & Resorts, as it provides our teams travelling for the Inter City Challenge (ICC) with much-needed accommodation support, which is a welcome relief for our players and their families,” he said.
“This partnership will allow not only our Gladstone and Rockhampton based teams to enjoy various accommodation benefits when travelling along the Queensland coast, but also other teams in the ICC such as Mackay, Bundaberg, Wide Bay and Gympie, who will also benefit from this partnership by accessing discounted accommodation through our club. ”
