Second Hotel In Mackay

Leading Australian accommodation provider Oaks Hotels & Resorts, a division of Minor Hotel Group, has added its second new-build Mackay hotel to the company’s 50 strong property network, named Oaks Carlyle.

Located in Mackay’s thriving central business district on the Central Queensland Coast, Oaks Carlyle offers an exceptional stay for both business and leisure travellers, with a selection of premier onsite facilities combined with apartment-style accommodation in one, two and three bedroom configurations. For shorter stays, stylishly appointed hotel rooms are also available.

Standing at six-storeys high, the 59-room, serviced apartment complex delivers guests with a new standard of accommodation in the Mackay Region, matched only by that of sister property Oaks Rivermarque, which opened in September 2014 and also occupies a prime position in Mackay’s CBD.

Contemporary in design, apartments feature full kitchens with modern appliances, laundry facilities, spacious living and dining areas, Wi-Fi access, LED TVs with cable channels, iPod docks and expansive balconies – ensuring guests feel right at home in the comfort of self-contained surroundings.

The 4.5 star property hotel also features a suite of onsite leisure facilities, including a landscaped entertaining area complete with barbeque facilities and swimming pool, recreation room featuring a communal kitchen and lounge area and complimentary car parking.

Chief Operations Officer of Oaks Hotels & Resorts, Mike Anderson, said Oaks Carlyle’s opening demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing astute travellers with premium, apartment-style accommodation in unique city and resort destinations.

“The opening of Oaks Carlyle marks an exciting milestone for Oaks Hotels & Resorts as we surpass 50 properties under the direction of Minor Hotel Group and its global expansion strategy.

“We are thrilled to offer travellers the opportunity to choose from two premier Oaks properties when visiting the Mackay Region, whether it be for business or a relaxing, tropical escape that blends city, rainforest and reef,” he said.

Oaks Carlyle is a short 10-minute drive from the Mackay Airport and is within close walking distance to the city’s dining and retail hubs and various local attractions, including the Bluewater Lagoon and Trail, Mackay Marina and Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre.

To celebrate the launch of Oaks Carlyle, a great-value Opening Special is on offer from $139 per night in a hotel room.

Oaks Hotels & Resorts is one of Australia’s largest self-contained, accommodation providers, currently incorporating a portfolio of 48 properties spanning Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South and Western Australia as well as New Zealand, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.

Minor Hotel Group (MHG) is a hotel owner, operator and investor, currently with a portfolio of more than 100 hotels and suites in operation under the Anantara, AVANI, Per AQUUM, Oaks, Elewana, Marriott, Four Seasons, St. Regis and Minor International brands in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Cambodia, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, the UAE, Australia and New Zealand.
