Great size room, nice big bed. Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities. Very clean and modern. We paid to have breakfast included. When we went down to breakfast in the morning, we realised the cafe was not actually part of Oakes. My husband did not bring his wallet with him as he assumed our breakfast was paid for? Then he called me over to the counter saying we had to pay $1!!!!! We're still not quite sure why???? We were probably only allocated so much to spend on breakfast ???? We had to pay to park our car underneath too, which is a bit of a rip off !!!

Very nice hotel and centrally located to restaurants and pubs. Clean rooms with balcony. Views are not much looking east and business rooftops. Very nice reception staff. Parking now comes at a cost where it used to be free parking.

Oaks apparently is now franchised and different locations have different amenities. For a 4 Star Hotel in Australia I wouldn’t expect to have to ask for more toilet paper, dishwasher sachets, to fill the conditioner canister in the shower or T bags…. For a 3 night stay! Disappointed that this franchisee doesn’t see the need to supply a small packet of biscuits with the 2 English Breakfast T bags for 2 people for 3 nights either. It’s the little things that count and make for a comfortable stay. We won’t be back.
