- Parking. We've got you covered! Every chalet, studios and apartments come with a parking space – so your car gets a holiday too. Need another space? No worries, our overflow carpark is ready and waiting.
- WiFi. Due to Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort’s remote location, in-room WiFi is not provided as a standard amenity. Guests who wish to use WiFi can request access at reception upon check-in. WiFi is provided via a limited number of 4G routers and, while we will do our best to accommodate requests, availability is not guaranteed. Speeds are generally less than 20 Mbps, and connectivity cannot be assured in all areas. A refundable deposit of AUD 300 may apply for the router, which will be refunded when the device is safely returned. Please book on the basis that internet access is not guaranteed.

Can I fish in the lake, and do I need a fishing license?
Lake Crackenback is a man-made lake that is stocked with trout twice yearly. You do need a fishing license.
Do I need to purchase firewood during my stay?
If you’re planning to stay in one of our holiday homes near Jindabyne in NSW, Crackers General Store is the place you’re looking for. You can purchase firewood there for $25.00 per 15kg bag. Kindling is also available for $10.00 per 2kg bag, which includes matches and firelighters. Subject to availability.
Do I need chains to get to Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort?
On rare occasions in winter, when it snows below the snowline you may require chains for your vehicle. Because the Resort lies outside the Kosciuszko National Park, it is not a legal requirement to carry chains to get to the Resort. If you are planning to travel within the National Park, you have to carry chains during the winter season.
How far is Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort from the ski fields?
Thredbo is a 20-minute drive from the Resort along the Alpine Way and 15 minutes to Perisher via the Skitube Alpine Railway.
Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa has a complimentary in-house shuttle operated by Harro's Snowsports to the Skitube in winter that runs on a timetable.
Note: there is no shuttle service to Thredbo.

How do I get to Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort from the nearest airport?
Our holiday homes near Jindabyne in NSW are about a 2-hour and 15-minute drive from Canberra Airport, the closest airport to the property.
Hiring a car is the easiest way to get here, with a scenic drive through the Snowy Mountains and clear signage along the way. Once you arrive, complimentary parking is available so you can settle in straight away. Up for a roadtrip?
How much does it cost to get into the Kosciuszko National Park?
The current park fee is $17 in summer for 24 hours or $29 in winter for 24 hours. You can purchase tickets from the National Park gate, located 5 minutes from the Resort. And if you’ve got any questions about if, our team will be happy to help you out.
Is my apartment/chalet serviced during my stay?
A daily service isn’t included to keep charges minimal. However, for a small fee, we can organise a daily service and refresh your room. Please contact Reception to arrange this additional service at +61 2 6451 3000.
