Complimentary Parking: We have on-site undercover car parking. Pull into the loading bay in front of the hotel. Then see the reception for access to the car park. We just can’t accommodate 12 seater vans (our bad to the sports teams out there).

The lagoon-style heated pool opens daily from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm, which will give you enough time for an early swim or chilling in the afternoon.
The dual waterslides run from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Be careful with these, as things get surprisingly competitive.

Our amenities include a heated lagoon pool with dual waterslides (yes, adults absolutely race down them too) and a children’s wading pool and spa area.
Enjoy a fully equipped gym and sauna (for balance, apparently). A games room for the kids to spend hours playing. And for the business travellers, we also have conference and meeting facilities.

Gold Coast Airport is just a 10-minute drive away, and you can easily get to the coast by taxi, rideshare, or local bus, depending on how much luggage you’re dragging behind you. Not a bad start to staying at a family resort on the Gold Coast, really.
All our rooms can squeeze in an extra bed (just keep in mind some fees apply). Kids 12 and under stay free when using existing bedding (because kids somehow always need the extra space). Full details on our room amenities page.
All rooms at Oaks Gold Coast Calypso Plaza Suites come with laundry facilities, if you need to wash the sand off your clothes.
The 1 bedroom Executive and 2 bedroom apartments have a full kitchen, while the other rooms come with a kitchenette; either way, you can enjoy making your own snacks or having takeaway nights that somehow turn into dinner on the balcony.
Quite a few, but we’ll try to resume. Coolangatta Beach is right outside your room. You can stroll to the shops, cafés and restaurants from the resort.
You’re also close to places like Surfers Paradise, the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and the major theme parks if you feel like filling the day with rollercoasters and adventure. Byron Bay is an easy road trip too (and a must do! Trust us. If you do find something wonderful off the beaten track, we want to hear all about it.
And because we’re a hotel near Coolangatta Airport, it also works well if the Gold Coast is one stop on a bigger Australia trip before heading somewhere else along the coast.
