New dining experience arrives in the Hunter Valley at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort

Celebrated as one of Australia’s ultimate epicurean hubs, the Hunter Valley has welcomed a brand new dining destination to its impressive foodie offer with the opening of Pipette and The Connoisseur Bar & Lounge at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort.

Joining the sprawling 25-acre Resort’s sister restaurant and bar Bodega and open from Thursday through to Saturday, Pipette will take diners on a gourmet journey of modern Australian flavours in a relaxed yet stylish Hunter Valley setting.

Overlooking the lagoon pool, lake, manicured golf greens and iconic Hunter Valley vineyards, Pipette’s evening menu comprises a carefully curated selection of entrees, mains and desserts that proudly showcase the region’s best local produce.

From seared king fish accompanied with avocado mouse, sesame seeds, garden fresh nasturtium and radish; to duck leg served with fresh wild berries, duck fat potatoes, heirloom carrots and red wine jus; and peanut butter ice cream with tempered chocolate, maple bacon and caramelized banana, Pipette raises the bar with its innovative combination of ingredients and flavours.

Other signature dishes include caramelized scallops with crisp wonton, Thai style nam jim and herb salad; whole fried plate snapper with Asian style slaw and honey soy sesame dressing; and blueberry cheesecake with raspberry sorbet, toasted pistachio praline and chocolate straws.

Two and three course options are available at Pipette, starting from $59 per person.

Meanwhile, guests looking to kick back with an evening drink will relish the opening of The Connoisseur Bar & Lounge – an intimate whiskey saloon located next door to Pipette.

Featuring dark timber accents, mood lighting and a cozy ambience, The Connoisseur Bar & Lounge sets the tone for a late night whisky fix, featuring an outstanding line up of international whiskeys from all corners of the globe, plus exclusive cocktail creations.

For a casual, alfresco-style dining experience, the Resort’s flagship restaurant Bodega Restaurant & Bar meanwhile impresses with its all-day menu – including its famous metre-long pizzas – and vast wine cellar, featuring a curation of the finest local drops and other Australian favourites.

Foodies can combine their dining experience with convenient onsite accommodation at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort, with the choice of recently refurbished one, two, three and four bedroom villas featuring kitchen facilities and spectacular hinterland views. The Resort also features three swimming pools, two tennis courts, a championship 18-hole golf course, gymnasium, spa and dedicated conferencing and events precinct.
