What is COP28?

Like previous editions, the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) known as COP 28, will assess and drive progress on combatting climate change. This year COP28 will be held in Expo city Dubai. The selection of Dubai Expo City as a venue for Cop28 builds on the legacy and message of "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future". 

The conference is expected to attract more than 45,000 participants daily, including heads of state, government officials, international industry leaders, private sector representatives, academics, experts and representatives of civil society organizations.

When is COP28?

The event will run for 12 days from November 30 until December 12, 2023.
