The Grand Hotel is conveniently connected to the Oaks Gladstone Grand Hotel and provides a seamless, fully inclusive event experience in an unmatched city position. The beautifully restored heritage building oozes charm and grandeur, making it a unique venue for your next conference, event or celebration catering for 50 to 500.
The dedicated event team strive to exceed our guest's expectations by providing great food and beverage with fantastic customer service. All our function rooms enter out onto our gorgeous wrap-around balcony area which boasts incredible views of the CBD & Harbour creating the perfect break-out space and adding atmosphere to your event.
To ensure your event is successful our Function Manager will manage every detail of your event from beginning to end and is always actively engaged in your event from the booking to the planning to ensure that your expectations and budget are met.
Seperated from the public bar, the function spaces are located up the ornate stairwell. With dedicated bathrooms and direct access to the bar, the MacArthur, Rockefeller & Vanderbilt rooms all open up to accommodate large groups as our largest space, the Grand Ballroom.

The MacArthur room is a large rectangular shaped room which welcomes plenty of natural light. Alternatively, the curtains can be drawn when using the 140 inch retractable projector and 70 inch HDMI television. Gather on the balcony or make use of the dance/stage area which boasts an in-house audio ‘nightlife’ entertainment system.

Rockefeller

The Rockefeller room is a rectangle shaped room which also welcomes natural light and opens out onto the balcony. Curtains can be drawn when using the 70 inch HDMI television and in-house audio entertainment system. This room is perfect for smaller functions which do not require a dance floor, as guests can instead make use of the nearby bar and foyer area.

The Grand Ballroom

The Grand Ballroom is our largest room available and can cater to up to 500 people. The flexible room is a combination of the MacArthur, Vanderbilt and Rockefeller rooms on the second floor of the hotel, making the event exclusive to you and your guests. With its very own bathrooms, bar and gorgeous wrap-around verandah with views of the twinkling lights of the city and harbour. The room forms an ‘L’ shape - perfect for large events and conferences and even has its very own dancefloor. If required, the projector, audio system and televisions can display the same output.

- We are able to cater for all dietary requirements. These need to be supplied prior to the event for catering purposes. In the event of a guest informing us of a dietary requirement on the day of the event we will do our best to accommodate.
- Do you have any hidden costs?
- We have no hidden costs. All costs are spoken about and confirmed with the event manager prior to the function.
- Are there any extras, such as equipment available?
- We have a data projector, screen, 70inch televisions, a roving microphone and subject to advance notice we have a laptop available for use. We have unlimited Wi-Fi access with passwords supplied on the day.
